Georgia Montoya

Georgia Montoya, J.D.  is the parent of a twice exceptional child.  Georgia currently serves as legal counsel for Denver Public Schools, with a focus on students with disabilities.  Prior to working at Denver Public Schools, Georgia was a civil rights attorney for 18 years at the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights.  Georgia  works in the areas of Title VI, Section 504, IDEA, Title IX, Title II of the ADA, and gifted and talented.  Georgia joined the Institute for the Study of Advanced Development Board in 2018 and also serves on the board of a college preparatory non-profit, Access Opportunity.
