We Will remember

unnamed.png

by Linda Kreger Silverman, Ph.D.

We will remember blue skies and we will return the sky to blue.

We will remember dolphins swimming in the clear water and we will protect the seas.

We will remember the selfless acts of heroism of our health care workers and we will ensure safer work conditions.

We will remember the lost lives and we will make health care available for all.

We will remember appreciating what we have and not take abundance for granted.

We will remember our interconnectedness with everyone on the planet.

We will remember the neighbor who put out packaged foods with a sign, “Little Free Pantry. Please take anything you need.”

We will remember what we discovered about ourselves and our neighborhoods when we went for walks.

We will remember our slower heart rate and peacefulness when we had less stress.

We will remember how shopping became a scavenger hunt and the delight we experienced when we found paper goods.

We will remember family gatherings via internet and how much we appreciated seeing the faces and hearing the laughter of our loved ones.

We will remember how creative we were working at home.

We will remember learning together as a family.

We will remember the pure joy of Being instead of constantly doing.

We will remember re-evaluating what is essential.

We will use this experience to create a kinder, more conscious future.
